Author Jonathan Franzen will appear on the National Book Festival 2010. Speaker Biography: In 2001 the National Book Award for fiction went to Jonathan Franzen "The Corrections", a sprawling post-modern family drama that one of the top ten selling works of fiction was. The novel was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Before "The Corrections" Franzen was best for his non-fiction, as an essay he wrote for Harper in 1996, laments the state of fiction known.Franzen's new novel is "Freedom" (Farrar, Straus & Giroux). It 'a 2002 member of the National Endowment for the Arts and lives in New York.
