Peter Hammill - "Refugees" - admirable alive abandoned skeleton adaptation (1978)

Peter Hammill - "Refugees" - admirable alive abandoned skeleton adaptation (1978) On YouTube.

We began to notice that we could be free ... Peter Hammill (audio only) plays the Van Der Graaf Generator favourite "Refugees", from the unofficial live and solo album "Skeletons of Songs", accompanied by my own video compilation. Recorded live at the All Souls Unitarian Church in Kansas City (USA) in February 1978, Hammill explains that all songs when first written exist in their 'skeleton' form, and when playing live and solo none of the orchestration and overdubbing added later are included. Live and solo is by far my favourite way of listening to Peter Hammill, and this album is amongst my top ten all-time favourite albums without question. I have uploaded some of my other favourite tracks from this album. I compiled the video montage myself utilising footage mostly downloaded from YouTube, with some of my own added effects and filters. Please check out my other videos. Comments are most welcome.

S. was born in pleasant lands, but dry I walked deep water 'and played my opinion E. it was dawn, coming alive in the Golden Sun:. The winds gently, several heads at a time in summer, when people laughed at in August ... we were at peace, and we cheered We walked along, sometimes go hand in hand, between the thin lines marking sea and sand, with a smile very peacefully, we began to notice that we are free, and we all moved to the West. W., where every day is an end of the day, where the colors turn gray into gold, and you can be with friends. And flakes of golden light above the clouds: West is Mike and Susie, is the West, where I love. We will spend the last days of our lives ... tell old stories: well, at least we tried. So, in the West,Smile on our faces, we go, oh! yes, and we apologize for those who are never really know how .... We're refugees, walking distance from the life that we know and love ... nothing to do, nor say, nowhere to stay, now we are alone. We're refugees, carrying everything you own in brown bags with cable ... think of anything, does not mean a thing, but we are happy to be alone. West is Mike and Susie, West is Mike and Susie, West is here that I love, West is the home of refugees.
