Siemens ST100R16C ST Type 100 Amp 16 Circuit Generator Indoor Transfer Switch Overview
The Siemens ST100R16C ST Type Transfer Switch is a pre-wired external connection box with a weatherproof conduit for generator connections and is compatible with Siemens Nexus controllers. The Nexus controller senses power outages and initiates the transfer of power to the generator via the automatic transfer switch. The panel provides transfer capability to a select number of critical circuits, as opposed to the entire house. For the chosen critical circuits, the conductors in the main house panel are removed from the breaker and connected with wire nuts to the prewired conductors on the transfer switch. With 2-pole, 250 VAC contactors, it is electrically operated, and mechanically contacts for fast, positive connections. The main contacts are silver plated or silver alloy to resist welding and sticking. It has a 30-foot pre-wired conduit for connecting the transfer switch to the external connection box and a 2-foot pre-wired conduit for moving circuits from the main panel to the transfer switch. The dual coil designed switch has an open transition, 160 millisecond transfer time and is suitable for use only on air cooled products (8–17 kW). It is rated for all classes of load, 100-percent equipment rated, both inductive and resistive. An express install kit is included.
